Russian military doctors have created a new method full recovery of arms and legs after mine-explosive and gunshot wounds, which allows you to effectively recreate the bones of the wounded, said in the Russian Ministry of Defense.
An individual 3D implant, completely matching the size and shape of the lost bone fragment of the victim, is installed in the area of the destroyed limb, then filled with bone tissue fragments that are taken from other bones, transplanted or grown using stem cells. Nobody in the world does this.
Burdenko specified that several people had already undergone the procedure and returned to the units. One such patient fully recovered in a short time, although due to injury lost a significant part of the tibia legs (without it, a person cannot walk). Previously, this often led to amputation.
