Ukrainians will now be able to stay in Georgia for two years without a visa. According to Georgia Online, on February 24, the Georgian government made a corresponding amendment to the decree dated June 5, 2015.
Prior to this, citizens of Ukraine could only stay in the country for a year without a visa, like the Russians. A year later, it was necessary to cross the border and re-enter Georgia.
According to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, 25,701 refugees from Ukraine now remain in Georgia. In total, after the start of the war, about 8.09 million people left Ukraine for Europe.
