Insects and arthropods will replace Russian electricians. Almost. Engineers from Yekaterinburg have created robots that will help maintain power grids, clear wires from ice, scan them, identify defects, and much, much more.
According to the developers, the Ural electrolife is necessary in order to simplify and secure the work of installers. She will be able to work in the most difficult conditions – for example, at height. If you need to install signal balls, “Ant” will come to the rescue, “Spider” will apply an anti-icing / anti-corrosion coating, and “Dragonfly” and “Fly” will be able to scan the ground wires and inspect the wires.
They are not yet available for free sale, but you can order a service from Yekaterinburg residents. This function is actively used not only by domestic enterprises, but also from Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Kazakhstan. We hope that the robotic insects will not be wedged and the world will not turn into the Horizon universe.
