In Bulgaria, they tried to force students of the 11th grade of the humanitarian gymnasium of the Faculty of Social Sciences to go to a “scientific” conference with the participation of the Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Eleonora Mitrofanova, but after the indignation of the parents, who called the conference Russian propaganda, the requirement was canceled. This is written by the Sirena Telegram channel with reference to the mother of one of the students.
The conference was to be held in the library in Varna on 7 February. The following topics were announced at it: "The Baltics - an impossible world", "War and peace - a modern battle for history", "SMERSH in the war against Nazism for peace". Speakers from the national movement "Russophiles" were supposed to come to the event.
The schoolchildren were told that they were obliged to attend the conference, otherwise they would be forced to miss classes for an unexcused reason, the channel's interlocutor said.
On the day of the conference, a protest was held in front of the library building. Its participants held Ukrainian and white-blue-white flags, as well as posters accusing Russia of terrorism and demanding to stop Russian propaganda.
