Erdogan said that the Turkish air operation in northern Iraq and Syria was successful, and when asked about the likelihood of a ground military operation in Syria, he said that Ankara would hold consultations and take appropriate measures:
“It is impossible for this to be limited to only an air operation. How much ground forces should be involved in this operation, our respective units, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff will decide together”
“We will hold consultations and then take appropriate steps. We have already established diplomatic relations with the countries that are present here, and we have taken and are taking appropriate steps.”
