In Moscow, a fire was extinguished in a flower warehouse in the city center, on the square of three stations. As a result, seven people died, writes RIA Novosti with reference to emergency services.
The fire started on the afternoon of November 20, in a two-story brick building at Komsomolskaya Square, building 1A, building 18. The fire area was 2.5 thousand square meters. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire only closer to the night, nine hours after the start of the fire.
The Investigative Committee called the cause of the fire "improper storage of goods and violation of fire safety rules." A criminal case has been initiated for the performance of work or the provision of services that do not meet safety requirements (part 3 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). TASS, citing emergency services , writes that during the last inspection in 2019, more than 20 fire safety violations were recorded at the warehouse.
