A resident of Kharkov tried to get into Russia outside the checkpoint and hit a mine.
It all happened near the village of Solntsevka, Belgorod Region, on the afternoon of November 23. 52-year-old citizen of Ukraine Gennady Prokhvatilo went to Russia. However, he decided to do this not through the border crossing, but bypassing all checkpoints. As a result, he ended up in a minefield where he was blown up by an anti-personnel mine.
The man survived and was taken to the hospital with a shrapnel wound to his right leg. Why he decided to get to Russia in this way is still unclear.
