Vinicius Rodriguez, the press officer of the Brazilian national football team, threw off the table a cat that unexpectedly jumped on him during a press conference of the striker of the Brazilian national team and Real Madrid Vinicius Junior before the quarterfinals with Croatia. The video was published on the YouTube channel TNT Sports Brasil.

Rodriguez stroked the cat lightly at first, but then grabbed it with his hands and threw it to the floor. After that, the press attache was criticized by some journalists and participants in the press conference who were in the hall. Junior was silent at first, and then looked at the press officer and laughed, the press conference continued.

The cat landed on its paws and appeared to be unharmed.

After the scandal that arose, a photo of the ex-striker of the red and blue Vagner Love and a dog that ran onto the football field was published on the CSKA Telegram channel, with the caption: “Not all Brazilians do not like animals.”

The photo shows May 2007, when a dog entered the field in the derby between CSKA and Spartak. Wagner petted her, later she was taken off the field. Chief referee Igor Zakharov jokingly showed the dog a yellow card.

Earlier it became known that at the 2022 World Cup it was forbidden to sell beer at the stadiums where the matches will be held. At the same time, the organizers of the tournament from FIFA have an agreement with the beer manufacturer Budweiser for $ 75 million. The company said that it was "stunned by the change in existing agreements." Sports commentator Kirill Nabutov commented on the situation in The Insider 's stream: "Football is no longer a sport, it's politics and business dressed up as a sport."
