On December 10, the Ukrainian military blew up the base of FSB analysts in the occupied Melitopol. This was announced by the Ukrainian mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov at a briefing at the Ukraine-Ukrinform Media Center on December 12.
“We see that their air defense did not work. And now they are panicking. They don't understand what to do. Since yesterday morning, they have been moving their military groups to other places to try to hide them. I would not say that they are running away – they are redeploying, ”Fyodorov said.
In total, according to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three Russian military facilities: a checkpoint in Novobogdanovka, where, according to the mayor, there is a logistics hub for the Russian troops, a radar station for tracking air defense and air navigation targets, a hotel and restaurant complex where the FSB officers who were responsible for analytics and database management.
The Russian-appointed head of the annexed Zaporozhye region, Evgeny Balitsky, confirmed the attack on Melitopol. According to Balitsky, the recreation center was shelled, “where people, civilians, had dinner on Saturday evening, the staff of the base worked”, two people were killed, ten were injured.
