The Kremlin said that Russian President Vladimir Putin worked all Friday at the joint headquarters of the troops involved in Ukraine.
The report says that he "got acquainted with the work of the headquarters, heard a report on the progress of the NMD, and also held a conference and separate meetings with the commanders."
Judging by the photos and videos, the meetings were attended by all the top leadership of the army – Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov and Commander of the Joint Group of Forces in Ukraine Sergei Surovikin.
What the meeting is connected with and where this headquarters is located, the message does not specify. Putin has never been in a combat zone.
