The announcement of the message of Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly in 2022 will not take place, it will happen next year, Kommersant sources say .
According to the publication, in recent months, the Presidential Administration has been "preparing" for the event, but in the end it "died out" and is no longer being conducted. According to sources, this decision is due to the uncertain situation at the front.
Putin's last message to the Federal Assembly took place in April 2021. The Constitution states that the president must read the message every year. However, the event was postponed even earlier: from the end of 2017 to the first half of 2018.
On December 12, it became known that for the first time in ten years, the big annual press conference would not be held. This year, Putin also abandoned the traditional "straight line" – in 21 years it did not take place only once.
