Former United Russia deputy Sergei Mamontov, who knocked down a child in Tatarsk, was released from criminal liability by the decision of the 1st judicial district of the Tatar judicial district. This is written by "Arguments and Facts" with reference to the Office of the Judicial Department in the Novosibirsk Region.

The department stated that the criminal proceedings under the article “leaving in danger” (Article 125 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) were terminated due to the reconciliation of the parties. Recall that at the end of October, Mamontov ran over the car of a six-year-old boy and fled the scene. In addition to the criminal case, two administrative cases were opened against him. The first is about a violation of traffic rules that caused minor or moderate harm to the health of the victim, the second is about failure to fulfill obligations in connection with an accident.

The only punishment that the former United Russia suffered was 11 days of administrative arrest. He was also stripped of his party mandate. Under the criminal article, he was threatened with up to a year in prison. The child, who was hit by Mamontov, was hospitalized in serious condition.
