The Feodosia city court sentenced Crimean activist Irina Danilovich to 7 years in prison in the case of possession of explosives (part 1 of article 222.1 of the Criminal Code). She was also fined 50,000 rubles, according to the Crimean Process human rights project.

Danilovich was detained on April 29, 2022 in the Crimean village of Vladislavovka. On the same day, her apartment was searched. The security forces refused to give Danilovich's father a copy of the search warrant, and also stated that his daughter was arrested for 10 days for "connections with a foreign state." Later it became known that in fact she was kept in the basement of the FSB building, and then sent to a pre-trial detention center without heating.

There Danilovich refused to provide medical assistance. As a result, the activist developed ear inflammation, which led to an almost complete hearing loss. She also said that the security forces beat and choked her, interrogated her on a polygraph, did not let her go to the toilet for a long time and threatened to kill her.

The investigation believes that Danilovich kept 200 grams of explosives in a case for glasses. The activist herself claims that she was planted. Before the criminal case, she collaborated with the human rights project "Crimean Process" and fought for the rights of Crimean medical workers. On June 3, the Ministry of Justice recognized Danilovich as a "foreign agent."
