Politician Ilya Yashin, sentenced to 8.5 years in a penal colony, said that he was transferred to Udmurtia. He is in SIZO-1 in Izhevsk. On December 9, the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow sentenced Yashin to 8.5 years in a penal colony under the article on the dissemination of "fakes" about the Russian army (clause "d" part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This is the most severe sentence under this article. The case was initiated because of Yashin's stream about the crimes of the Russian military in Bucha.
