The Russians took 300 children from Donbass to Moscow under the pretext of "treatment for serious injuries," said the head of the Luhansk region, Sergei Gaidai.
“Visiting teams of Russian doctors conducted medical examinations of boys and girls in almost every city in the occupied Lugansk region in the fall. In some places, even teachers in schools collected money from children for the opportunity to be examined. 300 of them were sent to Moscow hospitals. Allegedly, when “serious injuries” were detected, they were provided with first aid by the same medical workers who acted on the road,” Gaidai said.
According to him, the children were taken to Moscow with the help of special vehicles or air ambulances. “Before the arrival of the occupiers, children and parents did not even know about their serious condition,” Gaidai said.
Vera Yastrebova, director of the public organization Eastern Human Rights Group, previously told Unian that Russia has officially allocated funds for “medical filtration” of 82,000 Ukrainian children. According to human rights activists, a special database has been created in Russia, where they enter the changed data of the deported Ukrainian children so that their relatives cannot find them.
According to the Center for National Resistance, 10,000 children have already been taken from Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
