In Vladivostok, books by Ulitskaya and Parfyonov are sold in “foreign agent covers”, although these authors are not “foreign agents”

In a bookstore in Vladivostok, books by Leonid Parfyonov, Lyudmila Ulitskaya and Alexei Polyarinov were wrapped in “foreign agency covers,” Dozhd reports . At the same time, none of these authors is recognized as a “foreign agent”.

Rain published a photo from a bookstore, but did not specify its title.

Russian publishing houses from December 1 last year within the framework of the law “On Controlling the Activities of Persons Under Foreign Influence”, the books of the authors – “foreign agents” are packed in film and labeled “18+”.

At the end of November, the general director of the Pareto-Print printing house, Pavel Arseniev, announced that the printing house was required to pack “foreign agency” books in black film. Such a request came from one of the publishers. “Today we received an unexpected question from one of our publishing clients - can you pack a book individually in black opaque film? Why are we? Publishing house - from December 1, we are obliged to pack all the books of our authors-foreign agents in this way. Let's go look for the film," he wrote on his Facebook.
