In Iran, a football match of the first league was delayed for 40 minutes due to the fact that a helicopter suddenly landed on the field, on board of which there was an assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Igor Levitin, and Iranian officials. This is reported by the Iranian news agency Irna. A video with Levitin's helicopter also appeared on RBC's Telegram channel.
The match was held in the city of Astara, Gilan province, bordering Azerbaijan. There Levitin was supposed to take part in the opening of the Rasht-Astara railway, which would become part of the North-South transport corridor.
The Insider published an investigation into the family of former Transport Minister Igor Levitin, who owns a huge fortune in Russia and abroad. The official's relatives do business with railroad tycoons and live in luxury mansions worth more than a billion rubles. An investigation about him was also published by the Important Stories publication: it says that the family of the Putin adviser owns a large offshore business, including apartments in the Czech Republic, a resort in Montenegro and development projects in Russia. Most of the assets are recorded in the name of Levitin's brother, who somehow got a huge fortune.
