The day before, an appeal of wives and mothers mobilized from Tatarstan appeared on social networks. The women said that their relatives, who were assigned to military unit 29655 (regiment 1231), were sent to the “DPR” army. There, the mobilized were ordered to storm with only machine guns without any support. As the women explained, their husbands and sons called home and said goodbye to their relatives. According to them, the military from the "DPR" tell them that they are "the future 200th", and new ones will be sent to take their place.
Earlier, on February 7, a video message with a similar message was recorded by a group of mobilized people who introduced themselves as "regiment 1231 from Tatarstan." “We were handed over to the leadership of the DPR. The local leadership does not care about us, we are here as expendable material. Their motto is: we fight to the last soldier, and then they will send new ones. Arriving here, we were scattered by 6 people into different units, they took away all the equipment and humanitarian aid from us. On February 5, we were sent to storm without any preparation ... They have not been able to take this point for a very long time, ”the appeal said.
