For the armored train, on which Russian President Vladimir Putin is increasingly moving , a secret network of railways and stations was built, branches lead to his residence. This was found out by the "Project".
One of the branches leads to Putin's residence in Valdai. A Project journalist discovered a guarded station in the Valdai National Park in the fall of 2022. There is also a helipad there. According to satellite imagery, this road was built in 2019.
Three local residents claim that all this was built only for the president, while the guard drove the correspondent away when he wanted to approach the fence of the guarded station. A former driver who worked on the route between Moscow and St. Petersburg, told the publication that he saw Putin's special train. He said that earlier the road near Valdai was in a terrible state, but when they were preparing a new road to the residence, part of the old tracks along which Putin's train was supposed to pass were repaired. Those sections where the armored train does not go were not repaired.
In addition, journalists found a station in Novo-Ogaryovo, which, according to satellite images, appeared in 2015. This station is 400 meters from the presidential residence in the Moscow region. For the construction of the station, the land was withdrawn in favor of the FSO from private property by the decision of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Surveillance cameras are installed every 10 meters. A station was also built for the armored train in Sochi, so that the president could get to the Sochi residence Bocharov Ruchei. The platform and railway line appeared there in 2017. At the same time, the branch is hidden with the help of a high fence from the tracks along which the electric trains run.
Earlier, Dossier reported that during the preparations for the war in Ukraine, Putin began to travel more often not by plane, but by a special armored train. A source close to the AP said the president began to travel more frequently by special train in the second half of 2021.
