The ex-wife of Vladimir Putin, Lyudmila Ocheretnaya, together with her husband Artur Ocheretny, are selling real estate in Spain. It is reported by El Mundo. According to the publication, apartments and a house with an area of 229 and 405 sq. m in the elite residential complex Lomas del Rey. They are located in the city of Marbella in southern Spain.

One of the houses is clearly inhabited, the newspaper writes, it is clear that residents live in the house. A luxurious BMW is parked in parking space No. 7 in a garage also owned by Ocheretny. In the second house - a duplex overlooking the pools, palm trees and ponds - most likely no one lives. It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, heated floors.

Apartment located on the first floor of the urbanization Lomas del Rey, Ocheretny bought in 2011. The other, a duplex, three years later, in July 2014, cost him €1.1 million. Ocheretny continues to be listed as its owner in the Marbella real estate register. The total value of real estate in Marbella alone is €2.2 million.

Just a year before the second purchase of Ocheretnoe, Spain approved a new law, according to which a residence permit began to be issued to those who invested at least half a million euros in the real estate sector. The new rules are called the "Golden Visa" because they allow its holder, as well as his wife and children to move freely around all Schengen countries.

El Confidencial contacted the Foreign Ministry to find out if Putina's ex and her new husband applied for a residence permit, but received a response that "due to data protection, we cannot provide this information."

According to El Mundo journalists, the intentions of Ocheretny and Lyudmila Putina are dictated by the fear of falling under EU sanctions. Both have not yet been included in the sanctions lists. At the same time, another woman with whom Putin is associated was included in such a list: in June 2022, the EU Council approved the sixth package of sanctions against Russia, Alina Kabaeva was included in it.
