In Ukraine, a member of the "seaside partisan" Alexander Kovtun died , Kommersant writes. As activist and political prisoner Ivan Astashin told The Insider, shortly before his death, Kovtun feared he would be killed in connection with an attack on law enforcement officers. According to Kovtun, which was transmitted by Astashin, PMC Wagner is shot at the front of Muslims who are imprisoned under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - “Terrorist act”. Kovtun converted to Islam.

“We talked with him in October-November,” Astashin said. - Correspondence with him for October - he was afraid that he would be sent to Ukraine and killed. He had information that some Muslims, who are also imprisoned under Article 205, Wagner PMCs were taken out and shot in the NVO zone. He was in the Sverdlovsk region, he wanted to be transported to the Caucasus, because his wife is in Dagestan. He even won the court case, wrote that he was being transferred, then got in touch, said that he was not being transferred, then he simply disappeared from the connection.

“Alexander Kovtun died on January 29 in the area of ​​the NVO. Previously, he, while in a penal colony, signed a contract with the Wagner PMC, ”Vladivostok State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reports.

The grouping of "seaside partisans" operated in the Primorsky Territory in 2009. She became widely known after a series of murders of policemen and civilians, as well as robberies, car thefts and raids on police stations. A group of young people who attacked and killed law enforcement officers declared their goal to be the fight against police arbitrariness. During the arrest, two "partisans" - Andrei Sukhorada and Alexander Sladkikh - were killed.
