Former head of headquarters Alexei Navalny in Ufa, Lilia Chanysheva, was transferred from the Moscow pre-trial detention center No. 6 to pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Ufa. This was told to The Insider by her husband, Almaz Gatin.

According to him, in the morning his wife was in a pre-trial detention center in Moscow, they managed to give her food on the road.

He clarified that for 468 days he saw his wife only on the courts, they were denied dates and calls. Now there is no communication with her, she is being transported in a special wagon. Presumably, she should be in Ufa on Tuesday, February 21st. What conditions were on the train, the husband learns only through a lawyer who will meet with her in Ufa.

Earlier, a post with her complaints to the Public Monitoring Commission (PMC) was published on the Telegram channel, run by associates and friends of Chanysheva. It also said that it was not clear who controls the maintenance of prisoners during transfer to another city.

“The train goes all over Russia, and the POC is responsible only for its region. Has anyone ever seen 10 people being transported in one cage?”

As the team of Alexei Navalny reported , on February 21, the First Appeal Court of General Jurisdiction in Moscow will consider complaints from defense lawyers about the extension of the pre-trial detention center for Chanysheva.

Lilia Chanysheva was detained on November 9, 2021 after many hours of interrogation and search. The police also came with searches to more than ten oppositionists and employees of Navalny's headquarters in the Kemerovo region and Bashkiria. Chanysheva is the first person to be arrested in the case of “extremism” initiated after the defeat of Navalny’s structures in 2021. The terms for all the articles imputed to her can add up, so Chanysheva faces up to 18 years in prison.
