In Cherkessk, unknown persons with bats attacked the deputy head of the treasury of Karachay-Cherkessia, Murat Elkanov, and the judge of the arbitration court, Kazbek Salpagarov.
The attack was carried out by several people: one was walking down the street, the rest jumped out of a passing car.
Elkanov, who was allegedly the target of the attack, was hospitalized in intensive care in a serious condition, Salpagarov received less severe injuries.
Videos of the attack are published by Baza and Mash Gor Telegram channels. It is reported that the attack took place at about 2 pm, when Elkanov and Salpagarov were returning from a cafe. The attackers also took away the bags of the victims.
The city announced the plan "Interception", Mash Gor published the names of four suspects - the police are looking for Muradin Aybazov, Timurlan Karakotov, Murat Bogatyrev and Arsen Chagarov.
