Tatyana Moskalkova, the human rights commissioner in the Russian Federation, said that she had received more than 50 appeals from opposition leader Alexei Navalny. And all of them, according to her, were considered, TASS reports . The Ombudswoman announced this in connection with her inclusion in the new EU sanctions list.
Moskalkova said that she received “absolutely frank letters” from representatives of Western states, one of which contained a complaint to the UN against her. This complaint stated that she "does not protect Navalny enough, that she does not oppose Russian aggression, as they believe, and does not actually act as an opposition to the authorities."
“Navalny, like any other person in his position, being convicted, must have a full package of rights: conditions of detention, admission of a lawyer, the opportunity to work. And more than 50 appeals that we received - not a single one of them was left without attention, each was checked by the prosecutor's office, the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service, ”said Moskalkova.
