The United States will supply Ukraine with another $400 million military aid package, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in a press release.
“This military assistance package includes ammunition for HIMARS and howitzers used by Ukraine, as well as ammunition for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, maintenance and training,” the statement said. In addition, the United States will provide Kyiv with bridge layers for the first time.
To allocate these funds, US President Joe Biden does not need the consent of Congress.
The total amount of US military assistance to Ukraine is already more than $3.75 billion.
