By March 4, the city of Marinka in the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region is completely destroyed due to prolonged fighting as a result of the Russian invasion. The photo was published by the Telegram channel “Tankists of the Southern Military District”.
The propagandists signed the pictures, noting that the ruined city resembles an apocalyptic picture.
“When you hear the word ‘Apocalypse’ what comes to mind? - the end of the world, the end of life, something terrible and irreversible, but this is now.
"Denazification" of Maryinka was successful. All that remains of the city is only the foundations of buildings,” Ukrainian journalist and blogger Denis Kazansky signed the same photo in his Telegram channel.
Back in January, the acting head of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin stated on the air of "Russia 24" that Russian forces "cleaned up" all the skyscrapers in Maryinka,
“In the most populated area of Marinka, all skyscrapers have already been cleared and are controlled by our units. <...> We see the work of our servicemen, who are clearing the territory meter by meter. We expect that in the very near future Maryinka will completely come under the control of the Donetsk People's Republic.
On the eve of The Insider, in a summary of the main events at the front, he described the situation in Marinka, where fighting has been going on for almost a year. Propagandists reported that Russian troops were conducting assault operations in the city and on the outskirts of Maryinka. Semyon Pegov, the author of the WarGonzo project, "military commissar" propagandist, stated that the intensity of the fighting had decreased. However, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, all the assault actions of Russia in this direction did not bring success. The same situation is near the settlements of Krasnogorovka, Kamenka, Avdeevka and Pobeda, the agency reported in its daily report.
This is not the first city to have been hit since the beginning of the Russian invasion. Houses in Mariupol were so destroyed that Yandex decided to remove them from their maps.
