A bill on raising the draft age has been submitted to the State Duma

A draft law has been submitted to the State Duma on a phased increase in the draft age for military service from 18-27 to 21-30 years.

If the bill is passed, then next year they will call up for military service from 19 to 30 years old, in 2025 - from 20 to 30 years old, in 2026 - from 21 to 30 years old.

Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke about plans to increase the age limit for military service to 30 years.
