Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed head of the “government of the DPR” Vitaly Khotsenko as acting governor of the Omsk region. It is reported by TASS with reference to the Kremlin's statement.
Alexander Burkov, who held this post, resigned, Putin accepted it before the appointment of Khotsenko.
Earlier, RBC, citing sources, reported that the Kremlin was discussing the resignation of Burkov, who served one gubernatorial term. He is a member of A Just Russia – For Truth. On March 24, he was admitted to United Russia.
The head of the "DPR" Denis Pushilin appointed Khotsenko as the new prime minister of the "DPR" on June 8. Prior to that, Khotsenko served as head of the industrial policy department of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. He is a graduate of the so-called school of governors. As Kholod drew attention , Khotsenko was a classmate of the head of the FBK, Maria Pevchikh, at the sociological faculty of Moscow State University.
