At the Nizhny Novgorod College of Small Business, a military man showed students a photo of the corpse of a pig covered with the flag of Ukraine during a “lesson of courage”, the students filmed what was happening on video. According to Rise, citing the organizers of the event, the college authorities are checking to find out how the image got into the presentation for students.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, the photo was not included in the list of images agreed before the “lesson of courage”. The video of the lecture appeared on the network, the footage shows that students are being shown a photograph of an animal corpse with a flag on a projector in the assembly hall.

The "Lesson of Courage" is "the most effective means of discussing with students ideas about courage, duty, physical and moral readiness to help, honor, responsibility," according to the methodological recommendations of the Foundation for Social and Cultural Initiatives. The site also states that the purpose of the "lesson of courage" is to develop students' ideas about the responsible civic behavior of children and youth using the examples of "the courageous deeds of their peers." In addition to the “lessons of courage”, Russian schools now also host the lessons “Talk about the important” from the Ministry of Education. On them, according to the department, schoolchildren are taught patriotism, introduced to the history of the country and its cultural values. In June, it became known that among the topics of such classes are the 110th anniversary of Sergei Mikhalkov (author of the hymns of the USSR and Russia), “reunification with the Crimea”, “Immortal Regiment”. In St. Petersburg, in the process of preparing teachers for these class hours, it was stated that they would help protect the younger generation from the Internet, which is especially important "during a special operation."
