The Zadonsky District Court of the Lipetsk Region fined an employee of the local military registration and enlistment office because of a skinhead demotivator published on the VKontakte social network in December 2010. According to the information and analytical center "Sova", a protocol was drawn up against Alexander Zaborovsky under the article on the public demonstration of Nazi symbols (20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), the amount of the fine was one thousand rubles.
The demotivator posted by Zaborovsky included photographs of deceased rock musicians (Panthera's Dimebag Darrell, Metallica's Cliff Burton and Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain), a skinhead raising his hand in a Nazi salute, and a man dipping his head into a toilet. The inscription read: “Why did God take them and why does the RED live??? …The God That Failed…" Also on the picture you can see the symbol "totenkopf" ("dead head") and a flag with a swastika.
Zaborovsky explained that in 2010 he was fond of rock music and therefore published a demotivator. SOVA believes that only those who use Nazi symbols to promote the corresponding ideology should be prosecuted under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The picture, published by a resident of the Lipetsk region, contrasted the positive image of rock musicians with the negative images of neo-Nazis and outcasts, and therefore cannot be considered propaganda.
