Footage on social media of a serviceman being beheaded is horrendous and needs to be verified, Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said .
On April 11, a video was published on the network, in which Russian combatants cut off the head of a still living soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. One of them suggests putting the head in a bag and "sending it to the commander."
Another video posted on April 8 by pro-Russian Telegram channels shows an overturned armored vehicle and the decapitated bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. “No one even came up yet, damn it … Oh, no, they put them in jail, they cut off their heads!” – comments the operator, probably also a mercenary of Wagner PMC.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a video message on the matter. “The world cannot ignore how easily these beasts kill,” the president said. He stressed that the video of the execution of the Ukrainian military prisoner "should be seen by everyone", because it "shows Russia as it is."
Zelensky also noted that this war crime is not an accident: “It happened before. So it was in Bucha. A thousand times."
