The death toll in a Russian attack on a residential area in Slovyansk has risen to nine. 21 people were injured.
“Rescue work continues. A special squad of climbers of the State Emergency Service was involved in them. Under the rubble of the house in the lane. Five more people remain in the park. In total, as a result of the shelling of Slavyansk, 34 high-rise buildings, 20 private houses, civilian infrastructure facilities and 12 cars were destroyed, the Interior Ministry said.
Among the dead was a two-year-old boy who was pulled out of the rubble alive, but he died in an ambulance on the way to the hospital.
Earlier, the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, Pavel Kirilenko, confirmed that, according to him, the Russian army fired seven S-300 missiles at Slovyansk, six of which hit residential buildings, and one exploded in a landscape park.
On March 27, as a result of the shelling of Slovyansk with S-300 missiles, two people were killed and 32 were injured. It was reported about the destruction of five high-rise and seven private houses, as well as administrative and office buildings.
