The FSB said that they detained a Russian in Crimea who was preparing a terrorist attack at the Naval Hospital of the Ministry of Defense in Simferopol. As TASS was told in the Center for Public Relations of the department, during the search, two home-made bombs were seized from the detainee.

According to the agency, an improvised explosive device with striking elements in the form of nails, as well as an improvised incendiary explosive device, were found in possession of a Russian citizen.

Criminal cases have been initiated, operational-search measures and investigative actions are underway.

Earlier in Crimea, a local resident was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the case of arson of the military registration and enlistment office building. According to the FSB, the Russian set fire to the military enlistment office in Simferopol, and was also preparing to undermine the railway bridge in the Soviet region of Crimea. They found an RGD-5 grenade, a phone with pictures of the Crimean railway bridges, and a notebook with a map of the location of the cache, in which they eventually found an anti-tank mine and a fuse with a fuse.

On April 14, a 60-year-old resident of Komi was arrested for trying to set fire to the military registration and enlistment office, accusing her of “attempted terrorist attack.”
