Alexander Lukashenko did not go to dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin and other presidents invited by Moscow to the Victory Parade on Red Square and returned to Minsk. According to Nasha Niva, this is probably due to his state of health.

Belarusian political scientist Dmitry Bolkunets also said that Lukashenka could not attend the dinner for health reasons, he was "accompanied by an ambulance" to the airport. There is no official confirmation of this information. At the same time, at the official part of the Parade, Lukashenka was sitting among the veterans, when other leaders walked with Putin along the road to the Alexander Garden, Lukashenka was also not visible.

RBC also reports that after the Victory Parade, Putin held an informal meeting with foreign leaders, Lukashenka was not at it.

During the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9, they showed the only tank - the T-34, the parade itself lasted about 45 minutes. The air part of the parade was canceled, probably due to an attempted drone attack on the Kremlin in early May. This year, Putin spoke for about 10 minutes, in a speech he recalled the “saving of mankind from Nazism”, and also stated that now is a “tipping point”. Speaking about the war in Ukraine, Putin again claimed that the war was unleashed “against the Motherland”, and the Russian Federation allegedly protects the inhabitants of Donbass. At this time, according to the president, "Western elites are splitting society and sowing Russophobia", as well as "aggressive nationalism". This time, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev were present at the Parade, invited by the Kremlin.
