Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a closed meeting with chief editors of propaganda publications, said that there was nothing special about the UAV that tried to attack the Kremlin on May 3. He was quoted by the journalist of the Kremlin pool from Kommersant Andrei Kolesnikov.

According to Kolesnikov, Putin said that there was nothing special about this UAV, it was “made of wire and modern materials, and that such homemade drones flew to the Khmeimim base in Syria, so they are familiar, and that it was just something, it seems , 400 g of TNT. At the same time, Kommersant writes about only one drone, but the Kremlin may have been attacked by two devices, as evidenced by photos, videos and expert assessments. From the answer, one got the feeling that Putin did not attach as much importance to the drone attack as the whole world attached to it, the material says.

However, at the Victory Parade on Red Square on May 9 this year, there were enhanced security measures, on the way from the metro to the stands, it was necessary to go through four levels of control. The IQOS mouthpiece was taken away from one journalist, and a package of Tic Tac dragees was taken away from another, writes Kolesnikov.

Putin has not publicly commented on the drone attack. In the attacked building are his office and the Kremlin apartment.

Also, due to an attempted drone attack on the Kremlin on May 3, the air part of the May 9 Victory Parade was canceled this year. The UAVs were launched not from Ukraine, but at most from the Moscow region, as evidenced by their size and the likely absence of a warhead, Sergei Tovkach, CEO of Avianovatsiya, a developer of unmanned aerial vehicles, explained to The Insider. According to him, the UAVs were controlled manually and could use forbidden frequencies. He also stated that attempts to fly to Moscow had been made before, all the drones that fell in the Tula region, in the Moscow region, went to Moscow. The expert believes that, most likely, there will be more such attacks.
