The former head of Open Russia, Andrei Pivovarov, who was sentenced to four years in prison on charges of collaborating with an "undesirable" organization, was transferred a few days ago to strict conditions of serving his sentence (SUS) in a Karelian colony. This is stated in a letter published by Pivovarov's team in the Telegram channel.
“My living space is fenced off from the passage by a continuous grating from floor to ceiling, and inside it is divided by another grating that separates the day (living) and night (sleeping) zones.”
Now Pivovarov is not allowed to move around the territory of the colony, the amount he can spend in the store has become less, and the number of visits and packages has been reduced compared to the usual regime.
“Almost two and a half hours a day is now allowed to TV. Yes, there is only one channel on it, and what to watch is chosen centrally for the entire IC. So far, these have been a couple of action movies from REN TV and news from Zvezda. After almost two years without a screen, but with a shortage of news, I even swallowed them with interest. Reflexively, the hand sometimes reaches for the remote control, but this remains in civilian life, ”wrote Pivovarov.
In July, Pivovarov was sentenced to four years in prison on charges of leading an "undesirable" organization. In addition, for eight years he was forbidden to engage in social and political activities, including using the Internet. Earlier, he reported that he was sent to the ShIZO twice during his detention.
