On the morning of June 2, authorities in several Russian regions reported shelling or drone attacks.
- An unidentified object fell in the Kirovsky district of the Kaluga region , said the governor of the region, Vladislav Shapsha. “Today at 6.45 in the Kirovsky district of the Kaluga region, an unidentified object fell in the forest. As a result, an explosion occurred. Economic facilities and residential buildings were not damaged. Residents were not injured, ”the governor wrote .
- The head of the Kursk region , Roman Starovoit, said that on the night of June 2, an air defense system shot down "several Ukrainian drones" near Kursk. According to Baza, a total of eight drones were shot down, the attack lasted half an hour.
- In the Smolensk region, two drones attacked the facilities of the fuel and energy complex, said Acting Governor Vasily Anokhin. According to preliminary information, kamikaze drones attacked an oil refinery and gas distribution station. According to SHOT, the administrative building of workshop No. 3 of the gas distribution station was partially damaged, there were no casualties and no fire. An explosion occurred at the oil refinery station of Transneft in the Pochinkovsky district due to an attack at two in the morning. The fire extinguishing water tank with a volume of about 100 cubic meters was damaged. Initially, there were no casualties and no fire.
- According to the head of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, the region was fired from Ukraine twice in the morning. There were no casualties; a residential building caught fire in one of the villages. What exactly was fired is unknown.
Earlier, on the morning of May 30, there was also a drone attack on Moscow and the Moscow region. According to preliminary information, about 25 drones participated in the attack. At least 3 drones crashed into residential buildings, one of them carrying explosive devices that did not detonate. According to Putin, in this way Ukraine is avenging an attack on its intelligence headquarters, which was not previously reported by either side. At the same time, the day before, Russia shelled Kiev and the region, the attack was repeated on the morning of May 30 – one person died that day.
