The governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit , published photos of the “consequences of the attack by Ukrainian drones” and thanked the Russian military in charge of air defense (air defense).
“As a result of an attack by Ukrainian drones tonight in Kursk, the entrance of a multi-storey building and several other private houses were damaged. We are completing the calculation of the cost of damage – we will provide everyone with the fastest possible assistance. Most importantly, there are no casualties!
I want to thank the air defense crews for their work! Guys, you are the best!
However, it was most likely the Russian air defense that damaged the entrance – on the night of the attack, photos and videos were published in the local public "Kursky Bomond" with a crushed metal door of that very entrance from Starovoit's photographs. Next to the door, right at the entrance to the entrance, lay a spent main engine from the 9M335 ZRPK Pantsir-S1, a Russian air defense system.
The voice on the video says: “Fuck the hell out of the door.” Later, the video was removed from the publication on Vkontakte. And the remnants of the rocket were removed from the door – they are no longer in Starovoit's photographs.
The drone attack on a number of Russian regions took place on the night of June 2. In addition to the Kursk region, drones “visited” the Kaluga, Smolensk and Bryansk regions. In the Smolensk region, two drones attacked the objects of the fuel and energy complex, an explosion occurred .
