The court in St. Petersburg banned Oksimiron’s song “Oida” and decided to remove it from streaming platforms – “Paper”

The Oktyabrsky District Court agreed with the prosecutor's office's demand to ban the composition of rapper Oksimiron (Miron Fedorov) "Oida". The prosecutor's office concluded that the musician "points to the need to rebuild the house, that is, the country," and speaks positively about the violation of the territorial integrity of Russia. Streaming platforms are required to remove the song, Paper reports .

Neither the artist himself nor his representatives appeared at the court session.

The case against Oksimiron was initiated after a complaint from the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, who turned to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs with a request to check the song.

In October 2023, the Oktyabrsky District Court of St. Petersburg found rapper Oksimiron guilty of calling for separatism and fined him 70,000 rubles.

Calls to violate the territorial integrity of Russia were found in the same track “Oida”, namely, in the line “Ingria will be free”. Ingria (Ingermanland) is a historical region in the north-west of Russia, on the Karelian Isthmus.
