The well-known pro-Russian Teleram channel "Military Informant" suggests that the video of the Russian Ministry of Defense shows the destruction of combine harvesters and tractors. The agency said the video showed the destruction of Western military equipment, including Leopard tanks.
In the first post , Military Informant writes that the silhouettes of the vehicles look like combine harvesters. This is evidenced by the highly unloading augers, which the Ministry of Defense is allegedly trying to pass off as a tank gun. It is also noted that in the video the "tanks" do not have any sign of the presence of towers, and on one of the frames you can clearly see that the viewer has a two-axle vehicle.
The authors of the channel come to the conclusion that the video shows John Deere 9000 and 700 series combine harvesters and a John Deere 4830 tractor-sprayer. The popularity of such equipment in Ukraine is noted. “We don’t know why it was necessary to issue frames with an erroneous defeat of agricultural equipment for an actual video of the defeat of the Leopards,” the Military Informant emphasizes.
The Russian Defense Ministry already published fake videos in September 2022. Then, a video appeared on the official channel of the department, which showed the destruction of an alleged landing barge from helicopters with a landing force of the SSO GUR of Ukraine. Upon careful examination, the “barge” turned out to be a support of the bridge across the Dnieper near Energodar.
