The Leninsky District Court of St. Petersburg fined rapper Scally Milano (Daniil Dmitriev) 40,000 rubles under an administrative article on “discrediting” the Russian army (Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation). According to the United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg, the reason was a video from the concert, published on April 22 in Telegram.
It shows how "performer Dmitriev, being on stage, publicly chanted bad things into a microphone." The press service said that by the time the video was seen by the police, it already had 159 thousand views, more than a thousand comments were left under it.
On April 23, the head of the Safe Internet League, Ekaterina Mizulina, published a video on her Telegram channel in which Scally Milano screams “Fuck war!” from the stage, after which the audience begins to chant the phrase. Mizulina also published fragments of the rapper's texts, accusing him of promoting drugs. It was also reported that an anti-drug raid took place at the musician's concert.
On April 25, it became known that Scally Milano left for Dubai, and the next day an appeal to the Safe Internet League appeared in his Telegram channel. The rapper wrote that he does not use drugs and never wanted to promote them.
“The team and I have begun work on removing tracks from the venues that may contain words or expressions that fall under the concept of breaking the law. I am also ready to completely change the vector of my creativity, which will now be directed to a positive manner, inspiring to good and right actions.
Later, Scally Milano published a joint photo with Mizulina. Similar pictures were published after the official's meetings with other artists, whom she threatened with persecution for broadcasting "wrong" values. Among these artists were Hofmanita and Instasamka.
