The eleventh package of sanctions against Russia terminates the exceptions that previously allowed Russian oil supplies through the northern section of the Druzhba oil pipeline to Germany and Poland.
This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the German Ministry of Economy.
“Another important innovation of the 11th package of sanctions concerns the ban on oil imports. There is no longer an exception regarding the further receipt of Russian pipe oil for Poland and Germany, TASS quotes a statement. “Thus, what has been implemented in Germany since the beginning of the year is now legally consolidated.”
In fact, this is a formality, since since this year Germany has stopped importing Russian oil, including through a pipe. Poland announced the cessation of oil imports from the Russian Federation through the Druzhba pipeline in February 2023.
