Graduation balls, which were to be held in Moscow schools on Saturday, June 24, have been postponed for a week. The traditional citywide graduation ceremony in Gorky Park has also been rescheduled. As the press service of the Moscow Department of Education and Science told TASS, this is due to the fact that a counter-terrorist operation regime has been introduced in Moscow.
“The events will take place next Saturday, July 1, at the same time,” the department assured.
Messages about the cancellation of all public events scheduled for the weekend are coming from other regions of Russia. Corresponding statements have already been made by the authorities of the Tver, Tula, Kaliningrad regions.
The CTO regime was introduced in Moscow and the Moscow Region on the morning of June 24. The evening before, the founder of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, called for an armed rebellion. As of Saturday morning, it is reported that PMC units have seized military facilities in Rostov-on-Don and Voronezh.
