Vladimir Putin agreed to the extension of the grain deal, writes AFP, citing Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
On the eve of Putin, in an interview with VGTRK, he said that "nothing was done for Russia as part of the grain deal." Putin also said that Russia would extend the grain deal only "when the promises given to it are fulfilled."
The grain deal is an agreement between Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations on the organization of a safe maritime corridor for agricultural cargo from Ukraine. The document was signed in Istanbul on July 22, 2022.
