Stockpiles of weapons of the EU countries are severely depleted due to supplies to Ukraine. This was announced by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell.

He urged EU member states to replenish their stocks. In addition, for reasons of economy, Borrell proposes to do this jointly. He also acknowledged that Europe should have started helping Ukraine a year ago, when some of the EU members called for it. According to him, if this happened, the EU would now be "in a better position."

Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, Western countries have provided Ukraine with weapons, humanitarian and financial assistance. So, at the end of July, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, during a visit to Kiev , said that Lithuania would transfer armored vehicles, ammunition and modern anti-drones to Ukraine. Europeans are also participating in the “Buy Ukraine Bayraktar” campaign, in which funds for Turkish drones are raised by crowdfunding.
