Alexei Navalny, who is now in a colony and against whom a new criminal case has been opened on terrorism, said that anti-Semitic songs are played to prisoners several times a day as part of "educational work." The message was posted on his Telegram channel.
According to Navalny, the songs contain the following lines:
“If Purim is celebrated in the Kremlin,
This means that the Third Rome is in trouble again.”
He also stated that the main point of prisons and camps is not to punish, but to reform criminals. But in practice, this is a “grandest fiction,” because all educational work comes down to watching videos “on the prevention of extremism” and listening to patriotic music, Navalny noted.
“Five times a day I am told that the celebration of Purim, the Jewish holiday, is a sign of impending war. Five times a day, they resolutely tell me that we will not allow “our sisters, baptized by them, to be Salome” (this, by the way, is a remix, the original has a different word – listen in the carousel). Several times a day plays (I'm not kidding) "Where the Motherland Begins" performed by Zhirinovsky. My favorite song, also playing on repeat, is about Shoigu and SVO, there are these words:
"When the generals in Moscow report
About new victories with champagne in their hands,
Russian guys die for Rus',
Not sparing the enemy, with a smile on his lips.
The song also fits perfectly into the war, making it clear that the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service is in full solidarity with Yevgeny Prigozhin's assessment of the military talents of Minister Shoigu:
"Our guys were ambushed again,
Under heavy fire they had to survive,
Some rat is operating in the headquarters,
And it’s a pity that we can’t get it yet.”
I tell the cops: do you even listen to what is playing in your zone? You yourself will be imprisoned for extremism. No, they say, everything is as it should be, educational work according to methodological recommendations. This is such an educational work: people are really just hammered into the brains that those who celebrate Purim are villains plotting terrible things against Rossiyushka.”
On May 22, Navalny was sent to a punishment cell for the 16th time. In total, since August last year, he was assigned 180 days of isolation. He repeatedly ended up there for various reasons, for example, because he said the word "fuck" in a conversation with a cellmate or because he violated the uniform and did not wear a jacket. In the ShIZO, people with hygiene problems and patients with the flu were placed next to Navalny. At some point, a man with a mental disorder was placed in the next cell, who screamed day and night, making it impossible to sleep. Navalny also told how the administration of the colony shows him the food he bought and then throws it away as expired.
